چکیده

Advanced industrialization has caused an increase in the continuous discharge of hazardous effluents environment. This study evaluated potential laccase synthesized by Bacillus sp. NU2 to degrade five synthetic dyes. Sawdust, wheat bran and peels banana tangerine were utilized as carbon sources for bacterial growth production. The produced crude enzyme was purified homogeneity determine its molecular weight. kinetic activity determined using 2,2′-azinobis-(3-ethylbenzothiazoline-6-sulfonic acid) (ABTS). toxicity laccase-treated dye solution assessed on growth. result showed optimum yield from peel medium. gave a specific 349.94 U mg−1 weight 55 kDa, respectively. displayed strong affinity ABTS substrate with 31.21 mg−1. It at 60 °C pH 8, catalytic efficiency (Kcat/Km) 23.93 mmol L−1. decolourization effects Congo Red, Methyl Orange, Remazol Brilliant Blue R, Reactive 4 Malachite Green 87%, 70%, 65%, 63% 51%, assay degraded dyes reduction 36.75% (Malachite Green), 12.57% (Congo Red), 17.19% (Methyl Orange), 38.41% (Remazol R) 28.14% (Reactive 4). holds high detoxification environmental system.

Decolourization and Biodegradation of Reactive Azo Dyes by Mixed Culture

Synthetic dyes, azo dye in particular, are widely found in the effluents from textile industries. The persistence and toxicity of these compounds cause adverse impact in the receiving streams. A mixture of isolated cultures, from domestic sewage treatment plant was found to decolourize reactive azo dyes, Red RB, Blue M2B and Yellow, efficiently in the absence of added external nitrogen source. ...
